Expert Witness
We have an established track record of successful outcomes on planning enquiries.
What is it?
Where a planning application has been unsuccessful and an appeal has been made to the Planning Inspectorate, a Proof of Evidence is required to be submitted to the Planning Inquiry. This evidence will be presented by our one of Expert Witnesses who has a deep understanding of the material considerations in each individual case.
The Planning Inspector will assess the information presented, of which the Proof of Evidence will be a major componant. Following the Inspectors assessment and appeal procedure a final decision is usually issued within one month.
Our Expertise
We have wide experience in appearing before planning inquiries, with a good track record of successful outcomes. We are able to supply and prepare, in cooperation with the appeal team, Proofs of Evidence that comply with Civil Procedure Rules (Part 35) and Practice Direction 35.
At a public inquiry, one of our expert witnesses will present the information to the inquiry where the strength of this evidence is tested by cross examination.
Through effective liaison with all interested parties, we will quickly draft a Statement of Common Ground which will ensure only the relevant issues are dealt with by the Planning Inquiry.
